Wichita Federal Credit Union Awards $16,000 in Scholarships

WICHITA, Kans.- Wichita Federal Credit Union (WFCU) has awarded eight students with a total of $16,000 in scholarships, which includes an $8,000 grant made possible by Heartland Credit Union Charitable Foundation.
Each recipient received $2,000 to apply toward tuition costs for post-secondary education. WFCU began awarding scholarships in 2004 to encourage members of the credit union as they pursue their education. Since that time, 135 students have received a combined total of more than $119,000 in scholarships.
Candidates are members of the credit union and are selected by a committee based on grade point averages, extracurricular activities, community service, career goals, and a written essay. Congratulations to the 2020 recipients of the Dana Winkler Scholarship:
