The scholarships were presented on April 3 at the foundation’s annual awards ceremony, recognizing outstanding high school seniors for their academic achievements, leadership, and community involvement.
As a dedicated partner in education, EECU provided funding toward 26 scholarships, totaling $5,000, to help ease the financial burden of college for deserving students.
“At EECU, we believe that investing in education strengthens our entire community,” said EECU Community Relations Officer Joe Doyland. “It was an honor to be part of the awards presentation ceremony and see these incredible students recognized for their hard work and dedication. We are proud to support their future success.”
The Foundation for Central Schools facilitates scholarships through partnerships with local organizations, ensuring students have access to the resources they need to further their education. Since its inception in 2016, the foundation’s scholarship program has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to 87 local students.
In addition to sponsoring scholarships through community partners, EECU is proud to support local students directly through its own grant program, which awards $100,000 annually. To learn more about the EECU Student Grant Program, visit myEECU.org.
