Vermont Federal is a full-service, not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution that has been serving Vermonters for over 70 years.
Vermont Federal Credit Union is proud to partner once again with the National Guard Association of Vermont to support students from military backgrounds. Together, they are awarding $1,000 scholarships to four Vermont students: Colby Galipeau of Charlotte, VT who will be attending Gordon College; Connor McNeil of Oswego, NY who will be attending Syracuse University; Abigail Gagnon of Shelburne, VT who will be attending the University of Vermont; and Lily Korczykowski of Richmond, VT who will be attending the College of Charleston.

“We are committed to supporting those who serve our nation, recognizing the profound impact this can have on their lives and the lives of their families. Thanks to the generous support of Vermont Federal Credit Union, we can offer this scholarship program and honor these deserving students. The scholarships extend beyond just financial aid; they represent our commitment to the Vermont National Guard family,” stated Jason Beams, Lieutenant colonel of the Vermont National Guard.
This marks the 3rd year of partnership between Vermont Federal Credit Union and the National Guard Association of Vermont in offering this scholarship. Since 2022, the program has awarded $12,000 in scholarships to local students.
“We deeply value the dedication and sacrifice of the Vermont National Guard and its members in serving our country,” said Peter Winch, VP of Marketing. “Partnering with them to support and celebrate students and families who have given so much to our nation is an honor we take to heart.”
