Vermont Federal Credit Union Sponsors Food & Toy Donation Drives to Support Community During Holiday Season

Feed Your Neighbor 

The Feed Your Neighbor food drive successfully concluded on December 1, 2024. Vermont Federal Credit Union volunteers, along with community partners at 99.9 The Buzz and 106.7 WIZN, collected food items at the Hannafords supermarket in Essex Junction, VT. The food drive gathered an impressive 2,308 pounds of food and raised more than $1,800. All of the donated food and funds will be provided to Feeding Champlain Valley, which will distribute the items to over 3,000 Vermonters in need this holiday season.

Feed a Family

In collaboration with ABC22 & FOX44, Vermont Federal Credit Union will sponsor another food drive this holiday season. Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted at all Vermont Federal Credit Union branches now through December 19, 2024. ABC22 & FOX44 and Vermont Federal will also be on site at the City Market Co-Op in Burlington’s South End Arts District on December 19, 2024, to collect additional food and monetary donations for The Vermont Foodbank.

Toys for Kids

In collaboration with NBC5, Vermont Federal Credit Union continues to sponsor its Toys for Kids toy drive to help parents during the holidays. New unwrapped toys will be accepted as donations at all Vermont Federal Credit Union branches now through December 20, 2024 and will be distributed by The Salvation Army.

Vermont Federal Credit Union will also host its annual Great Vermont Coat Drive in partnership with WCAX-TV in January of 2025.
