Vermont Federal Credit Union Donates $15,000 For Giving Tuesday

Vermont Federal Credit Union highlights community involvement with a $15,000 donation to Vermont non-profits through its Giving Tuesday campaign on social media.
South Burlington, VT – Vermont Federal Credit Union successfully completed its 2025 Giving Tuesday campaign, donating a total of $15,000 to Vermont non-profits. The campaign was administered by the Vermont Federal Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation established to uplift the Vermont community and bolster organizations dedicated to aiding those in need.
"At Vermont Federal Credit Union, we recognize the meaningful work and impact of non-profits in Vermont,” said Maribeth Spellman, Chief People Officer and General Council at Vermont Federal Credit Union. “Through the Vermont Federal Foundation’s Giving Tuesday campaign, we strived to engage the community through our social media platforms to join us in supporting these organizations, working together to improve the lives of Vermonters across the state.”
The Vermont Federal Foundation provided donations to the following Vermont non-profits:
- Capstone Community Action: Capstone Community Action empowers individuals to overcome poverty and build resilient communities through resources, advocacy, and collaboration. Dedicated to social, economic, and environmental justice, Capstone supports transformation and champions positive change. Vermont Federal donated $2,500 to Capstone Community Action.
- Counseling Service of Addison County: Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC) provides comprehensive services and support for social and emotional well-being. Dedicated to fostering a compassionate and resilient community, CSAC helps individuals and families thrive by promoting mental health and honoring everyone’s full potential. Vermont Federal donated $2,500 to the Counseling Service of Addison County.
- Good Beginnings of Central Vermont: Good Beginnings of Central Vermont provides families with respite, companionship, and connections to community, as well as resources for breastfeeding and parenting support, postpartum depression, and basic needs. All services are free and open to all families with infants. Vermont Federal donated $2,500 to Good Beginnings of Central Vermont.
- Josh’s House: Josh’s House, supported by the Josh Pallotta Fund, is a wellness and recreation center for Vermont’s service members, combines local and national resources, emergency services, and research to provide Veterans the resiliency, transition and reintegration tools to help them sustain or return to full and healthy lives. Vermont Federal donated $5,000 to Josh’s House.
- Pride Center of Vermont: Pride Center of Vermont (PCVT) is the leading community hub in the region, dedicated to supporting the health, safety, and connection of LGBTQ+ Vermonters. Through its comprehensive programs and resources, PCVT fosters a vibrant and inclusive community. Vermont Federal donated $2,500 to Pride Center of Vermont.
The donation campaign included a social-media driven initiative wherein the public was invited to vote for an organization of their choosing to receive the highest donation amount. The organization with the most votes receiving a $5,000 donation was Josh’s House, and the four runners-up each receiving $2,500 donations were Counseling Service of Addison County (CSAC), Capstone Community Action, Good Beginnings of Central Vermont, and Pride Center of Vermont (PCVT).
Vermont Federal Credit Union expresses its gratitude to the community for participating in the Giving Tuesday campaign and encourages community members to continue their support of Vermont non-profits through individual donations and volunteerism.
