RICHLAND, WASH. (August 16, 2024) ‒ Gesa, a community-focused credit union, today donated $40,000 through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® to its longtime partner, the Memorial Foundation. Since 2016, the two organizations have partnered to support pediatric healthcare programs and services at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital and Children's Village. Every year, the GoWest Credit Union Association auctions kids’ electric jeeps to raise vital funds to support 11 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the West Coast. This year, Gesa bid and donated $40,000 for MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital’s electric jeep, which was presented to a local pediatric patient at Gesa’s headquarters on August 14.

Gesa’s electric jeep recipient this year was Julio, a four-year-old from Prosser, Washington, who has received life-changing care through Children’s Village. Julio and his family have been able to obtain services for all aspects of his care, including specialized dental treatment, occupational therapy, genetics, behavioral development services and more. In his four years of life, Julio has shown remarkable resilience and bravery, having already undergone four surgeries, with more anticipated in the future.
We are honored to partner with the Memorial Foundation and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals for another year, as the work they do to support and uplift children in need of medical care is nothing short of extraordinary.

As a community-focused organization, and a strong supported of our local healthcare heroes, Gesa is grateful to play a role in the Foundation's mission to bring hope and healing to children across our state. That includes Julio, who is truly a deserving recipient of our Gesa electric Jeep.
